Hull & Deck construction
The hull is of sandwich construction throughout. Laminate
specification comprises of Kevlar, E-glass and vinylester
resin over a foam core. The hull has extra reinforcement in
way of high load areas. The hull is finished in white with
waterline strip colour in owners’ choice. The deck is
built to a similar specification as the hull using E-glass
and polyester over a foam core. The deck has extra reinforcement
in high load areas. The deck is finished in white with non-skid
surface in the working deck areas.

Keel specification
A lifting keel is fitted as standard and comprises of a high
aspect ratio daggerboard with lead bulb bolted to the bottom.
Operation of keel is through hydraulic ram inside of keel
connected to electric pump. There is provision made for a
fixed keel (please speak with a representative over this matter).
Steering system
The steering system comprises of twin wheels port and starboard
at the aft end of the cockpit connected to the rudder by way
of a wire cable and quadrant system. Provision has been made
for a hidden autopilot system to be installed (please speak
with a representative over this matter), also the provision
for an emergency tiller has been made. The rudder is constructed
of a carbon fibre shaft and the rudder blade made of E-glass.
Sails, deck hardware & rigging
To compliment the sailing characteristics of the yacht, Wizard
marine have already specified a fully battened cruising mainsail
with RCB car system and furling jib by North Sails that will
be supplied with the yacht, with regards to additional sails
owners preference is required in this area and Wizard marine
can supply spinnakers, gennakers, stormsails, etc, etc.
Lewmar is the choice of deck gear on the Wizard Tourer as
they are renowned for their quality, reliability and after
sales service. Equipment includes anchor windlass, jib sheet
track & cars, mainsheet system, self-tailing primary winches,
self-tailing halyard winches & winch handles.
Other features on deck include stainless steel stem head with
roller, SS pulpit with navigation lights, SS stanchions &
base, SS pushpit with aft opening & navigation light,
SS boarding ladder, cockpit shower, gas locker & two large
stowage lockers, fuel & water fillers. Lewmar low profile
deck hatches are used three forward of mast and two in the
main decksaloon area.
The mast is anodised aluminium 15/16th rig with two sets of
aft swept spreaders. Wire standing rigging with adjustable
backstay bridle, adjustable solid boom vang, and jib furling
system, two vectran halyards, and one spectra masthead spinnaker
halyard.
Electrical system
The main 12-volt system has deep cycle batteries and a battery
for engine starting with battery isolation switch. There is
a 16-function switch, circuit breaker panel. B & G hydra
wind, speed & depth instruments are supplied as a standard
feature and can be added to at the owners’ discretion
(Should you wish to have another instrumentation system installed
along with additional equipment, please speak to a representative
over this matter). A VHF radio and CD player with four speakers
are also supplied. A 12-volt lighting system has been incorporated
into the yacht interior and an inverter is also supplied.
Plumbing
There is a pressurised water system with expansion tank and
a water heater on the engine with 240-volt plug in point when
in harbour. Seacocks on all skin fittings. There is an electric
and manual bilge pump system. Two SS fresh water tanks.
Engine
A 56 hp Yanmar engine powers the yacht with sail drive and
folding two-blade propeller. SS fuel tank. There is also an
instrument panel and single lever engine control and an 80-amp
alternator.
Interior
Wizard marine would encourage any prospective client to incorporate
their ideals on how the end product is finished. The interior
of the yacht is handmade which allows a level of customisation
not so readily seen these days. There are interiors already
designed that can be adjusted to suit and a wide choice of
finishes available to include mahogany, cherry, beech, and
teak.
